An acid–base titration is a titration whose active components are hydrogen ions (H⁺) and hydroxide ions (OH⁻), used to determine the concentration of an acid or a base. The stoichiometric point is reached when the acid and base have been combined in their reacting ratio. An indicator whose colour change matches the pH at that point is used to locate the endpoint.
