Solubility
Solubility is the extent to which a substance (the solute) dissolves in a given solvent. It depends largely on how well the solute can interact with the solvent: substances dissolve readily when they can form similar intermolecular forces with it. Compounds containing oxygen or nitrogen, for example, are often very soluble in water because they can form hydrogen bonds with it.
About the IPA
The International Phonetic Alphabet is a standardized system of symbols used to represent the sounds of spoken language.
It helps linguists, language learners, and educators accurately describe pronunciation across languages.
Example: the word "hello" in British English is transcribed as /həˈləʊ/ in IPA.
