Micelle
胶束 (jiāo shù)
A micelle is a spherical aggregate of surfactant molecules in a liquid. The surfactant molecules arrange themselves so that their hydrophobic tails are clustered together in the core of the micelle, while their hydrophilic heads are exposed to the surrounding liquid. Micelles are important in various applications, including detergency, emulsion polymerization, and drug delivery.
