Momentum
动量
Explanation (EN)
Momentum is the product of a particle's mass and its velocity. It is a measure of the quantity of motion a particle carries. In the de Broglie relation, a particle's momentum fixes its associated wavelength, with larger momentum giving a shorter wavelength.
Explanation (ZH)
动量是粒子质量与其速度的乘积。它是粒子所具有的运动量的量度。在德布罗意关系中,粒子的动量决定其相应的波长,动量越大波长越短。
About the IPA
The International Phonetic Alphabet is a standardized system of symbols used to represent the sounds of spoken language.
It helps linguists, language learners, and educators accurately describe pronunciation across languages.
Example: the word "hello" in British English is transcribed as /həˈləʊ/ in IPA.
