Collision number (Z)
碰撞数 (Z)
Explanation (EN)
The collision number (Z) is the number of collisions occurring between reactant molecules per unit time. Since molecules can only react when they collide, the reaction rate is proportional to Z. However, not every collision leads to reaction: only those with sufficient energy and the correct orientation are effective.
Explanation (ZH)
About the IPA
The International Phonetic Alphabet is a standardized system of symbols used to represent the sounds of spoken language.
It helps linguists, language learners, and educators accurately describe pronunciation across languages.
Example: the word "hello" in British English is transcribed as /həˈləʊ/ in IPA.
