Node
节点 / 节面
Explanation (EN)
A node is a region in an orbital where the wave function, and hence the electron probability density, equals zero, so that the electron is never found there. Nodes arise naturally from the wave nature of the electron. They are classified as radial nodes, which depend on distance from the nucleus, and angular nodes, which depend on direction.
Explanation (ZH)
节点(节面)是轨道中波函数(因而电子概率密度)为零的区域,电子在此处永远不会出现。节点自然源于电子的波动本性。它们分为随距核距离变化的径向节点和随方向变化的角节面。
About the IPA
The International Phonetic Alphabet is a standardized system of symbols used to represent the sounds of spoken language.
It helps linguists, language learners, and educators accurately describe pronunciation across languages.
Example: the word "hello" in British English is transcribed as /həˈləʊ/ in IPA.
