Electromagnetic radiation
电磁辐射
Electromagnetic radiation is energy that propagates through space as oscillating electric and magnetic fields, perpendicular to each other and to the direction of travel. It carries energy without requiring a medium and travels through a vacuum at the speed of light. Visible light, radio waves, and X-rays are all forms of electromagnetic radiation, differing in wavelength.

About the IPA
The International Phonetic Alphabet is a standardized system of symbols used to represent the sounds of spoken language.
It helps linguists, language learners, and educators accurately describe pronunciation across languages.
Example: the word "hello" in British English is transcribed as /həˈləʊ/ in IPA.
